🌍 Welcome to the Global Land Agenda

A Movement for People, Planet, and Prosperity

In a world confronting overlapping crises — from climate change and biodiversity loss to growing inequality, conflict, and mass displacement — the way we govern land matters more than ever.

The Global Land Agenda (GLA) is a bold, inclusive movement that brings together governments, civil society, Indigenous Peoples, youth, academia, and development partners to drive global attention, investment, and action for land tenure security and good land governance.

Land is not only a source of food, shelter, and identity — it is the foundation for climate resilience, gender equality, peace, economic opportunity, and more. Yet, nearly 1 billion people still live with the fear of eviction, and countless communities remain excluded from land rights and protection.

GLA responds to this crisis with a clear, collective call:
Secure tenure rights for all
Raise political ambition and commitments
Build inclusive, multi-stakeholder platforms for action
Mobilize investments in people and land
Track progress and hold ourselves accountable

This is not just another initiative. It is a growing global movement — open to everyone — working to ensure that land governance becomes a foundation for a more just, sustainable, and inclusive future.

Join us. Shape the future of land.
