Green Advocates International (GAI), Alliance for Rural Democracy (ARD), Natural Resource Women Platform (NRWP) recently launched the Community Advocacy for Land and Livelihood Support (CALLS) project.
Launched under the theme: “Communities Defend human rights within rubber concession’ , the project will be implemented in Margibi, Bong and Grand Bassa Counties working with communities in defending human rights on rubber plantations.

By examining the landscapes of multiple African countries, we will unearth the myriad experiences of traditional leaders, emphasizing the variances in their legislative authority and the weight of their word. By drawing upon actual case studies, the discourse will underscore potential friction areas between traditional leaders, governmental entities, and local populace, especially when the spotlight turns to the management of land based investments within ancestral domains.
The webinar Financial Costs of Mitigating Tenure Risks, organized by the Land Portal Foundation, the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), TMP Systems and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, took place on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021.
The study was commissioned to the KIT Royal Tropical Institute in July 2017 by the Land Dialogue, with financial support from the Dutch Government. The objective is to provide insight and guidance into the relevance of land governance as a possible priority theme t o be considered in the process of the International Responsible Business Conduct (IRBC) Agreements.
